(Bandar Seri Begawan, 30th) The Women’s Group of the Bandar Seri Begawan Hainan Association will hold an on-site charity food sale on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the association’s 4th floor Han Qiongyuan Garden, and is now accepting pre-orders.
The event will run from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
Foods available for sale on the day will include Hainanese chicken rice, Hainanese rice dumplings (zongzi), Hainanese pickled noodles, pepper steamed chicken, Hainanese yi pa, chive pork dumplings, chive coriander spring onion pork dumplings, and peach gum & snow pear sweet soup.
There will also be Ayam Acar, red yeast pork, Cantonese rice dumplings, tea eggs, tofu stuffed with minced pork, braised chicken feet, white fungus sweet soup, braised pork rice, and more delicacies.
Additionally, Nyonya zongzi, beef rendang, guilinggao (herbal jelly), soya pudding, carrot cake, and Assam laksa will be available.
There will also be chicken buns, cakes, and alkaline water rice dumplings, some of which can be pre-ordered.
Prices for pre-order items are as follows: Hainanese zongzi is $5 each (fillings include pork, salted egg, chestnut, Chinese sausage, mushroom, and dried shrimp); chive pork dumplings and chive coriander spring onion pork dumplings are $10 per pack (20 pieces); pepper steamed chicken is $28 each; Hainanese yi pa is $1 each.
