(Bandar Seri Begawan, 30th) Acting Chairman of Brunei Teng Yun Temple, Cheng Yongming, led a delegation today to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, participating in the '15th World Ta Pek Kong Festival 2026' organized by the Johor Bahru Ta Pek Kong Cultural Association.
This grand festival, held today in Johor, attracted Ta Pek Kong temples and Chinese community organizations from various countries and regions, making for a lively scene.
The Teng Yun Temple delegation was led by Vice Chairman Cheng Yongnian, and members included Vice Chairmen Lin Dencai, Lin Denyuan, Council Advisors Lin Changxing, Lin Fengbin, Lin Futing, Qiu Xide, Xu Qiuping, Peng Youwen, Shi Weizheng, and Vice Chairman Chen Lirong, among others.
This festival will feature a series of activities including a grand ritual ceremony, rites for worshippers, deity procession, parade team worship, and a Ta Pek Kong procession, all fully showcasing the characteristics of Ta Pek Kong faith and culture.
Participating countries and regions include Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Thailand.
Teng Yun Temple stated that this visit, in addition to strengthening ties and exchanges with overseas temples and Chinese community organizations, also hopes to further promote traditional Chinese folk culture and the spirit of the Ta Pek Kong faith, thereby advancing the inheritance and development of regional culture.
