This seminar is the first of its kind organized by this nonprofit organization for the elderly, aiming to help participants better understand the digital media landscape and assist them in safely navigating the online world.
GAIA Assistant Project Manager Noamila emphasized the importance of this initiative.
She said holding this seminar on digital media literacy helps raise awareness and provides knowledge to groups frequently targeted by online scams.
'Through this seminar, we taught the elderly and retirees how to distinguish and identify false information, news, and fraudulent articles.'
