A collision between two trains occurred in eastern Slovakia on the 13th, resulting in about 100 people being injured, seven of whom are in serious condition.
  
According to a spokesperson for the local fire department, the accident happened after 10 a.m. local time near a railway junction close to a village in the eastern Košice region.
Authorities stated that there were around 100 people aboard the two trains at the time of the accident; all passengers and train drivers have been rescued and are currently safe.
Authorities said that a total of 91 people at the scene were assessed for injuries, including 7 seriously injured, 14 moderately injured, and 70 slightly injured. No deaths have been reported so far.
Slovak Interior Minister Šuták said at a press conference that the cause of the accident was most likely one of the trains failing to yield to the other.
