Liu Si Le Urges Everyone to Take Bullying Seriously and Jointly Build a Safe Growth Environment

(Kuching, 19th) In recent times, multiple bullying incidents have occurred consecutively in our country, drawing intense public attention. Datuk Kapitan Liu Si Le, Chairman of the Kuching Padawan Foochow Association and President of the Kuching Siburan Community Association, expressed his deep sorrow over these events and called on all sectors of society to face the problem squarely and work together to curb the spread of bullying.

He pointed out that bullying not only causes severe physical and psychological trauma to victims but also erodes overall societal values, bringing far-reaching negative impacts to social norms. It must not be taken lightly.

"We must recognize the seriousness of bullying and adopt more active and effective measures to create a safe and healthy environment for the growth of our youth."

He emphasized that prevention is more important than remedial actions after the fact. Schools should strengthen moral education, focus on cultivating students' empathy and sense of respect, and let values such as "respecting others and caring for others" take root from an early age.

At the same time, he suggested that schools establish more comprehensive reporting and intervention mechanisms to ensure that bullying incidents can be discovered and addressed in a timely and effective manner, thus preventing further escalation.

On the family level, he urged parents to pay closer attention to their children's physical and mental development, communicate proactively, and understand their children's situation at school. Once it is discovered that a child is involved in a bullying incident, whether as a victim or perpetrator, they should take early intervention and seek professional help.

In addition, he also urged the government and relevant social organizations to increase attention and resources allocated to the issue of bullying, so as to provide stronger support systems for both schools and families, jointly safeguarding the growth environment of young people.

"Preventing bullying is by no means the responsibility of just one party, but a collective mission of the whole society. Only with the cooperation of all can we create a more loving and respectful environment for the next generation."
