(Russia, 10th) — Russian President Putin stated to the media on the 9th that Russia-China cooperation is the most important factor in maintaining the stability of international relations.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Putin said that at present, as international treaties in the fields of disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation have almost vanished, Russia-China cooperation has become an important factor in preventing nuclear proliferation and maintaining stability.

He also stated that China is Russia's important economic and trade partner, with bilateral trade volume between Russia and China continuing to grow. Thanks to the development of high-tech industries, the structure of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is continuously diversifying.

In addition, at a press conference on the 9th, Putin stated that due to Russia maintaining good relations with both Iran and the Gulf Arab nations, the conflict involving Iran has placed Russia in a "complex situation."

Putin said that if the situation escalates, "everyone will be harmed," and any agreement to resolve the current conflict should meet the interests of all countries in the region.

Putin also stated that the Russian side is well aware that Iran has no plans to develop nuclear weapons, and the International Atomic Energy Agency has never indicated there was evidence showing Iran was developing nuclear weapons. Additionally, Russia's proposal regarding receiving Iran's enriched uranium is not meant to "gain political capital," but rather to do everything possible to help ease the situation.
