[Teoh Beng Hock Case] Hoping DAP Will Redress Son’s Case, Teoh’s Mother: Please Give Us the Truth!

(Kuala Lumpur, 20th) Teoh Beng Hock’s mother, Chang Siew Hua: “Thank you all for coming to support us. I hope the Democratic Action Party (DAP) can redress Beng Hock’s case and give us the truth!”
At the 16th anniversary memorial for her son’s passing, Chang Siew Hua’s simple words moved the approximately 250 attendees deeply.
The Teoh Beng Hock Democratic Advancement Association held the 16th anniversary memorial and forum for Teoh Beng Hock Saturday night at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall. At age 72, Chang Siew Hua tearfully called on the ruling DAP not to forget its promise from back then, to clear her son’s name.
In addition to Teoh’s mother and his younger sister Teoh Lee Lan, his 77-year-old ailing father Teoh Liang Hui also attended in a wheelchair.
At the memorial, the 250 attendees observed a minute of silence to mourn Teoh Beng Hock, creating a sorrowful atmosphere.

The committee members and family members of the Teoh Beng Hock Democratic Advancement Association also gave a deep bow at the event, expressing gratitude to all the people and groups who have accompanied the family and supported the search for truth over the years.
At the same time, the Teoh family also bowed deeply to DAP leaders present, expressing their gratitude.
“It is only polite to return courtesy! We bow to all individuals and parties who have supported or ever supported our struggle.”
