(Iran, 17th) Iran's new round of missile and drone strikes on Israel began on Monday night (June 16) and continued until dawn on the 17th. Israel confirmed that it attacked the Iranian national television building.
The Iranian Tasnim News Agency quoted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Ali Mohammad Naeini early on the 17th, saying this was the ninth round of strikes in the 'Real Commitment-3' operation launched by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps against Israel, which would continue 'uninterrupted' until dawn on the 17th.
The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed in a statement early on the 17th that Iran had launched a new round of missile attacks on Israel. The mobile alert of Xinhua News Agency's correspondent in Jerusalem warned of incoming missiles, with the system indicating air raid sirens being activated in the central city of Tel Aviv and the southern desert region.
According to Iranian national television's reports at around 23:15 local time on the 16th, Iran launched a new round of missile and drone attacks on Israel.
Meanwhile, the Iranian state-run Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) building in the capital Tehran was attacked by Israeli airstrikes, temporarily interrupting news broadcasts and resulting in reported casualties.
Iranian local media reported that during the airstrike on IRIB, a female news anchor was fiercely criticizing Israel. After the explosion occurred, the live broadcast showed a massive explosion sound and rising smoke from inside the television station studio. The anchor left the broadcast midway. The BBC reported personnel casualties in the Israeli airstrike on IRIB.
Israel confirmed it attacked Iranian broadcasting facilities. Reuters quoted an Israeli military statement saying that the building also served as a communication center used by Iranian armed forces. The Israeli military claimed that its air force struck an Iranian military communication center disguised under civilian use, masking the military utility of the infrastructure and assets in the building.
June 15, satellite images released by Planet Labs show new vehicle tracks and mounds south of Tehran at the Natanz enrichment facility underground centrifuge building after Israeli airstrikes.

Xinhua quoted the Israeli Times saying that this statement confirmed the Israeli army's airstrikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting building located in the Iranian capital Tehran.
AFP quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei saying that Israel's attack on IRIB during the news broadcast was an 'evil act' and constitutes a 'war crime.'
On the other hand, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog said that Iran's largest uranium enrichment plant had been severely damaged.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told the BBC on Monday that about 15,000 centrifuges at Iran's largest uranium enrichment plant at Natanz were likely seriously damaged or destroyed due to power cuts caused by Israeli airstrikes. Another plant in Fordow suffered minimal or no damage.
Iran said that the recent Israeli attacks had killed at least 224 Iranians, most of whom were civilians. Israel reported that 24 people lost their lives, all civilians.
