On the 13th, Iranian President Pezeshkian stated that, as an elected representative of Iran, he is obliged to fully follow the instructions of the Supreme Spiritual Leader.
In his speech at the Quds Day rally in support of the Palestinian national liberation cause, he said that the instructions of Iran's Supreme Spiritual Leader will serve as the guiding principle for all officials when planning the country's future path.
He said that the Iranian government must coordinate with the country's leadership in formulating and implementing any policies concerning national governance and international relations.
In addition to Pezeshkian, several senior Iranian officials—including Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Larijani, Chief Justice Ejei, and Foreign Minister Aragchi—attended the rally held in Tehran that day.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. At the time, Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei and numerous high-ranking military and political officials were killed in the airstrike. On the 8th of this month, Iran's Assembly of Experts announced the election of Mojtaba, Khamenei's son, as the new Supreme Spiritual Leader.
