The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials on the 13th, reported that Iran recently launched a missile strike on Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Air Base, hitting five US military aerial refueling aircraft parked on the ground.
The report stated that these aerial refueling planes were damaged but not completely destroyed and are currently under repair. There were no fatalities.
The report pointed out that in the current conflict with Iran, at least seven US Air Force refueling aircraft have been damaged or destroyed. Previously, two KC-135 Air Force refueling planes had accidents on the 12th, with one aircraft crashing and all six crew members on board perishing, while the other aircraft landed safely but sustained tail damage.
