US Media: Next Round of US-Iran Talks May Resume as Soon as the 20th

According to a report by CBS News on the 17th, the next round of face-to-face talks between the US and Iran could resume as early as the 20th.

The report, citing several sources familiar with the matter, said that the Trump administration is considering sending senior officials back to Pakistan within the next few days to resume negotiations with Iran, hoping to reach a long-term peace agreement with Iran.

The report pointed out that US Vice President Vance is very likely to participate in the next round of talks again, and Presidential envoy Witkoff may accompany him.

The report said that as of the morning of the 17th Eastern Time, the specific date for the next round of US-Iran talks had not yet been finalized, but it could take place as soon as the 20th. This highlights the unpredictable nature of the US-Iran talks.

However, on the 17th, US President Trump said in a phone interview with US news website Axios that he expects the US and Iran to reach an agreement to end the war within the next day or two.
