(Kuching, 14th) The 2026 National Agenda for Healthy Malaysia (Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat, ANMS) roadshow will be held this Sunday (13th) at Kuching Waterfront, offering the public health screenings, community activities, and fitness programs.
This event is organized by the Kuching Division Health Office (PKB Kuching) and will be held in conjunction with the 2026 TYT Cup Muay Thai Championship and Kuching Car-Free Sunday activities.
The opening ceremony will be held from 7am to 10am, officiated by Sarawak Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.
This event marks the third collaboration between the Kuching Division Health Office, Sarawak Muay Thai Association, and Kuching North City Hall to promote a healthy lifestyle in the community.
The ANMS initiative is a nationwide program aimed at encouraging Malaysians to develop and maintain healthy living habits through a "whole-of-government, whole-of-society" approach.
At the divisional level, this roadshow is one of the key strategies to increase public self-care awareness and prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The event will run from 6am to 5pm, and features include community aerobics, an ANMS and Muay Thai Culture Fun Walk & Flag Off Ceremony, as well as a women’s self-defense seminar with a demonstration by a world champion under 23 years old.
Other highlights include a Tai Chi performance, free health screenings (such as NHSI tests, vision checks, dental services, women's health screenings [HPV/Pap smear]), and physical fitness assessments through the "Mobile Health Vehicle" (WoW).
Visitors can also participate in health exhibitions, government service counters, community gotong-royong (clean-up), “MyChampion” door-to-door awareness campaign, “Rahmah MADANI” care promotions, and lucky draws.
The Kuching Division Health Office stated that the 2026 ANMS Kuching Division roadshow will be held in five phases throughout the year at different strategic locations to expand community coverage.
The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the various activities, working together to build a healthier community.
