(Kuala Belait, 22nd) In conjunction with the Lions Clubs International Environment Service Week to be held from April 18 to 26, 2026, the Kuala Belait Lions Club recently launched a meaningful environmental initiative aimed at promoting sustainable development awareness among young students.
As part of this project, members of the club visited Nawai Chung Hwa School and donated four recycling bins. This move is intended to encourage students to develop responsible waste management habits and to cultivate a stronger sense of environmental protection from an early age. By making recycling facilities more accessible at the school, this activity supports the school's ongoing efforts to reduce waste and protect the environment.
Committee chairman Wen Deming and District Global Service Team coordinator Zhang Zengqin attended the donation ceremony. Their presence highlights the Lions Club's commitment to community service and environmental protection.
This project reflects the Lions Club’s sustained efforts to create a positive impact and inspire the younger generation to contribute to building a cleaner and greener future.
