(Kuala Belait, 22nd) To celebrate Hari Raya, Kampong Bukit Sawat and the Belait District Office recently co-organized a grand celebration, which attracted a large number of local residents and distinguished guests. The celebration not only included cultural performances, but also presented souvenirs to several community leaders, former village heads, and longhouse chiefs.
At 9:30 am, the arrival of key guests including acting District Officer Amirul added brightness to the event. The program began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and prayers, followed by speeches from the event committee chairman and a government officer from the Belait area.
A traditional performance was also brought by the Brunei Sese Cultural Club, showcasing the local area's unique cultural charm.
As the highlight of the event, the organizers held a souvenir presentation ceremony for former village heads, village chiefs and longhouse leaders, and shared a sumptuous lunch together with all attendees.
