Brunei Fujian Association Financial Report Released Strengthening Sound Financial Management

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) The Secretary General of the Brunei Fujian Association, Ms. Chen Lizhen, is pleased to present here the financial report of the Brunei Fujian Association as of September 30, 2025.
The balance sheet records the association’s fixed assets. This information has been disclosed in summary (4). The association has maintained detailed and proper records of its fixed assets.
This morning, Ms. Chen Lizhen presented the financial report at the third (2025) meeting of the tenth board of directors at the association’s general members’ assembly held at the association hall.
Term deposits are placed in banks or financial institutions registered in Brunei. The association will continue to seek higher interest rates in order to obtain better returns from its surplus funds.
Annual revenue and expenditure statement: this year, the association ran a deficit of B$17,642. As of September 30, 2025, the total number of members, including spouses and children, is 1184. Please refer to summary (6).
This year’s Chinese New Year Gala account incurred a loss of B$3,092, which is B$293 less than last year’s loss.
The Youth League account overspent B$11,198 this year. Detailed information on other activities can be found in the financial statements.
As of September 30, 2025, the association’s cumulative assets totaled B$1,443,875, a decrease of B$894 from last year. This figure is composed of B$887,159 in fixed assets and B$556,716 in current assets.
In 2025, the association will strive to increase revenue and reduce expenditures to maintain greater financial stability. Through detailed research and planning, the association will gradually realize its goal to increase revenue.
The board of directors will continue to provide rigorous oversight and fully ensure that appropriate control systems are in place within the board to safeguard the association’s assets and other financial matters.
The above financial report is derived from the auditor’s report. If there are any discrepancies between the two, the auditor’s report shall prevail. Lastly, if there are no objections to the above 2025 financial report, I hereby request the meeting to pass it.
Next, the association’s auditor for 2025 is Top Business Management And Consultancy Services, which provides account audit services for the association. Today, the board seeks approval from the assembly to continue appointing Top Business Management And Consultancy Services as the association’s auditor for the 2026 fiscal year.
