(Miri, 22nd) — A group from Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Lianlu Branch’s Lianlu Sisters Club and Yoga Class, led by yoga instructor Ms. Zhao Youning, embarked on a three-day cultural exchange and yoga retreat in Bario from October 17th to 19th.

During the trip, the group also visited the local Bario National Primary School for a goodwill visit, presenting lanterns and stationery to the students to promote Chinese traditional festival culture and the spirit of caring. The gift ceremony was represented by Instructor Zhao Youning and handed over to the school principal. The school’s staff and students warmly welcomed them and expressed their sincere appreciation.
On the same night, the members joined the local Kelabit community for a lantern walk to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together. The atmosphere was warm and lively, filled with joy and meaningful exchange. The villagers remarked that it was their first time participating in such a meaningful cultural event and were deeply touched, hoping for more similar exchanges in the future.
The yoga members noted that Bario’s fresh and pleasant air made it an ideal place for yoga practice. They expressed gratitude to Instructor Zhao Youning for her careful guidance, as the journey not only deepened interethnic friendship and understanding, but also made Chinese culture shine on the highlands, truly embodying the spirit of "unity, care, and sharing."
