The stage play ‘Sky Without Tears,’ headlined by Jessy Chung, was recently performed for the 13th time at the Starry Musical Performance Arts Centre (SPAC). The entire play lasts 4 hours with no intermission and revolves around five different emotional stories, encompassing themes of love, missed opportunities, regret, and letting go.
The production features a cast of 28 actors performing together on stage. Jessy Chung plays the character Du Xiaomeng, who becomes entangled in a love quadrangle with roles acted by Xie Zhexin, Lin Tingjian, and Lai Litong. The play contains four kissing scenes and multiple emotionally charged confrontations. Notably, the scenes between Jessy Chung and leading actor Xie Zhexin occupy a significant portion of the play. Director Li Antian emphasized that the intimate scenes are driven by the story’s progression and are not gratuitously inserted. To depict the complexities of the characters, actors repeatedly adjusted their emotions and stage positions during rehearsals.

During the performance, Jessy Chung switched through 10 different looks, displaying an impressive emotional range. Staff members revealed that she barely drank any water during the show to maintain her performance state, demonstrating an admirable level of professionalism.
‘Sky Without Tears’ is still being staged at the Starry Musical Performance Arts Centre, with shows starting nightly at 7PM. For ticket inquiries and details, please call +60 16-263 4399.
