Visiting the Zoo to See Baby Monkey Punch, Lisa Beams with an 'Auntie Smile'

Punch (also known as Panchi), a baby macaque at Ichikawa Zoo in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, has recently gone viral. Punch was abandoned by its mother right after birth, bullied by bigger monkeys, and could only seek comfort from an orangutan plush toy provided by the zoo. The sight of Punch inseparable from the toy has tugged at the hearts of many, with fans across the globe following Punch’s well-being and feeling distressed seeing it bullied.

Lisa, a member of the Korean superstar group Blackpink, has also become a fan of Punch. After attending a beauty brand event in Japan recently, she brought the same orangutan plush toy to visit Punch. She shared photos in her Instagram stories, showing her holding the plush toy and happily beaming with an 'auntie smile' (an internet slang term describing an unconsciously affectionate and doting smile that conveys happiness).
