Concert Entry Asks 'Who Was Your Elementary School Teacher?' JYP Apologizes and Offers Refunds

Korean group "DAY6" recently held a FANCON, but it sparked a wave of dissatisfaction among fans due to excessively strict on-site identity verification and staff displaying poor attitudes toward attendees.
Some fans tried to enter by presenting their student IDs to prove their identities, yet encountered staff who said entry was not allowed, insisting that the fan's father send a passport photo to prove identity. Even then, the staff said the format was incorrect and still denied entry. Some fans even sought police assistance to verify their identities, but staff still refused them entry; There was also a mother-daughter pair—the mother purchased tickets and brought both her ID and family registration book, but because her daughter did not bring a passport or youth ID, they were denied entry and criticized staff on the spot for their "complete lack of humanity."
Furthermore, during the process there were even absurd requirements such as being questioned about "who was your elementary school teacher," and being asked to "download a messaging app to verify identity information." Some fans revealed that staff photographed fans' and their families' IDs and tickets and uploaded them to internal group chats, sparking concerns about possible personal information leaks. Upon learning of this, management company "JYP Entertainment" promptly issued an apology statement, explaining that a "personal authentication system" was established to prevent ticket scalping. For audience members who were unable to enter due to excessive identity verification, full ticket refunds were offered.
