(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Haji Awang Amudadebi Abdullah attended the mass prayer and Al-Quran recitation of thanksgiving yesterday to celebrate Brunei’s 42nd National Day in 2026.
The event was held at Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque in Kiarong.
Among those accompanying him were Prince Mateen and Prince Abdul Malik.
Upon arrival, the Crown Prince and royal family members were greeted by Pengiran Kairul, Director of National Customs and Etiquette, Minister of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Kamaruddin, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence Dato Seri Setia Halbi, as well as Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Chairman of the National Day Supreme Committee Dato Nazmi.
Subsequently, the Crown Prince led participants in the mass prayer ceremony.

To mark the 42nd National Day in 2026, thanksgiving, Yasin recitation and prayers were simultaneously held at all mosques, prayer rooms and places of worship nationwide, with several mosques in other districts also serving as key venues for the ceremonies.
