Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi stated on the 23rd that Iran has agreed to receive a technical delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency, and that delegation will visit Iran within two to three weeks.
At a press conference held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, he said that the delegation will travel to Iran to discuss ways to reach a nuclear agreement, not to visit nuclear facilities. Iran is still assessing the extent of damage to its nuclear facilities.
He also stated that if Iran and the United States hold a new round of negotiations, the talks will take place in an indirect format.
He pointed out that if European countries impose sanctions, “we will respond, we will take action.”
On June 25, the Iranian parliament passed a bill suspending Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
