(Miri, 6th) A private car has been parked long-term at the bus stop area in a residential zone, severely obstructing the view of passing vehicles and affecting traffic safety. Residents are urging the car owner to exercise self-discipline and not use public facilities as a private parking space.
Residents living in the Bumiko residential area pointed out that the vehicle belongs to a resident of the area. Due to the owner having multiple cars and limited space inside and in front of the house, they have been parking the vehicle for extended periods near the bus stop close to their home.
"Such improper parking behavior not only blocks visibility but also poses potential dangers to road users, especially at corners or sections with obstructed views, which can easily lead to traffic accidents."
Residents state that this situation is not happening for the first time, with vehicles sometimes parked for long periods, and the owner even directly parking on corners, making it extremely unsafe.
"We understand that some households have more vehicles, but we hope everyone can put themselves in others' shoes and not compromise the safety and convenience of the entire community for personal convenience."
It is understood that the roads near the residential area are public roads, and any parking behavior that obstructs traffic or endangers safety may violate the Road Traffic Ordinance, and the relevant enforcement units have the right to take action.
