(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) The Royal Brunei Police Force, through the 'Truk Operation', together with the Armed Forces and Customs Department, seized a large quantity of contraband in the Kampong Menunggol area.
The operation was launched after patrol personnel, acting on public reports, discovered several suspicious boxes near an uninhabited wooden house.
The 'Truk Operation' team then proceeded to the scene for further inspection. It was confirmed that the boxes contained contraband goods, with additional contraband discovered inside the wooden house. All seized items were subsequently brought to police headquarters for further investigation.
The confiscated items included 1,000 cartons and 8 packs of various types of cigarettes, 48 bottles and 119 cans of different brands of alcohol, as well as 100 boxes and 32 units of various brands of firecrackers. All seized goods have been handed over to the Customs Department for further processing.
The police emphasized that patrols and joint enforcement efforts will continue to be strengthened to ensure the security of national waters and prevent any criminal activities. Police also urge the public to call the police emergency hotline 993 to provide information if they have any knowledge of criminal activities or illegal acts.
