First Speech After Leaving Office: Biden Criticizes Trump's Administration for Significant Damage within Less Than 100 Days

Former U.S. President Biden, after stepping down in January, delivered his first public speech on the 15th, fiercely criticizing the Trump administration for causing great harm to the country in less than 100 days.

He said: "In less than 100 days, this administration has caused such immense destruction, such massive damage—it's shocking that this could happen so quickly."

Biden made these remarks while speaking at the conference for American disability rights advocates, advisors, and representatives held in Chicago.

He stated that the American people have always received Social Security checks, whether in times of war, the Great Depression, or during a pandemic, but now this situation might change for the first time.

He mentioned that Commerce Secretary Lutenik indicated that only "scammers" would care about not receiving Social Security checks, suggesting either ignorance or indifference, while Lutenik is a billionaire, blessed by God.

He said Social Security is not just a government program but a sacred promise from the government to the people. 73 million Americans have invested their wages into Social Security, expecting to rely on it when needed, "that trust should never be betrayed."

He expressed that many Americans depend on Social Security to live, and any cuts or cancellations would push millions into hardship. The current debate on cuts or cancellations places a tremendous mental burden on these vulnerable groups.

Biden also pointed out that the Trump administration streamlined personnel and cut 7,000 employees from the Social Security Administration (SSA), with plans for further reductions, which has already incapacitated the agency. The Trump administration has caused significant damage to the country in less than 100 days.

The speech lasted about half an hour. Although there were still some minor slips during the process, the situation has improved considerably compared to last year. At 82 years old, Biden showed apparent signs of aging during last year's U.S. presidential debate, causing widespread disappointment among supporters, ultimately forcing him to withdraw, with Vice President Kamala Harris representing the Democratic Party in the election.
