(Miri, 8th) In conjunction with the compilation of the "Malaysia Zhang Clan Centennial History and Notable Figures Chronicle" by the Federation of Zhang Clan Associations of Malaysia and the Centre for Malaysian Chinese Studies (Huayan), the Miri Zhang Clan Association is now publicly collecting information on outstanding Zhang clan individuals who have made significant contributions in the Miri area.
This initiative aims to systematically document the Zhang clan's remarkable achievements in the nation's and society's development, to preserve valuable ethnic history, and to pass on its spirit and culture.
The association stated that each nominee must be accompanied by a 100–200-word introduction covering major achievements, fields of contribution, and social impact. The selection criteria will be based on actual contributions, public reputation, and verifiability of information. All submitted materials will serve as important references for subsequent interviews and publication.
It is reported that the Federation and Huayan team are expected to go to Sibu for selection and interviews before November 2025. The Miri Zhang Clan Association urges clan members to actively participate in the nomination process and to submit relevant information to the association’s secretariat by October 31, 2025.
