Participating in the Asian Junior Wushu Championships, Brunei Wushu Team Sets Off for China

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) The Brunei Wushu Team set off for China today to participate in the 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships 2025, organized by the Asian Wushu Federation and hosted in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China. The competition will take place from July 25th to 29th.
This event will see head coach Li Hui and coach Zhao Chunjie lead a total of 10 athletes, with Hong Ruyuan serving as the referee for this competition.
The participating athletes are as follows: Group A (15-17 years old) - Lin Weiyuan, Lin Wanxin, Li Zhenqin, Li Zhenser; Group B (12-14 years old) - Yu Mingjun, Mei Xin, Cai Youqin; and Group C (8-11 years old) - Li Yanxi, Situ Haili, Wang Yongjun.
Coach Li Hui stated that the Asian Junior Wushu Championships are held every two years. Our country sends athletes to compete with the aim of cultivating and accelerating the progress and growth of more young wushu athletes, as well as providing them with valuable competition experience, contributing to the development of future talent for Brunei’s wushu movement! Here, we would like to express our deep gratitude to the Brunei Olympic Council, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the Wushu Federation for their strong support. Special thanks to SUCI for providing team apparel, which has boosted the athletes’ confidence and enhanced the image of the Brunei National Wushu Team.
