K-pop group "BIGBANG" marks its 20th debut anniversary this year, with leader GD (G-Dragon) joining Taeyang and Daesung for a joint performance at the Coachella Music Festival in the US next month—a prelude to the group’s planned world tour later this year. Former member T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun), who left the group due to marijuana use and substance abuse, recently drew controversy for joining the cast of the hit Korean drama “Squid Game” seasons 2 and 3. Earlier, he also announced plans to release a new album for the group’s 20th anniversary.
On Friday the 13th, T.O.P shared a black-and-white photo on social media, teasing that his comeback is imminent and sparking a wave of backlash from netizens who argued that he should not return. Reportedly, T.O.P is preparing to release a solo album—his first solo work since the single “DOOM DADA” was released in November 2013, marking a 13-year hiatus.
