(Bandar Seri Begawan, 29th) Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) recently held a seminar entitled “Prioritizing Mobility: Orthopedic Care and Early Awareness.”
Given that joint health issues often affect the daily quality of life of the public, the institution convened this seminar to provide timely and effective health knowledge to the community. The event aimed to explore why early intervention remains the most effective strategy for addressing long-term mobility impairments and attracted enthusiastic participation from the public.
The seminar invited experts from Japan, who shared insights designed to provide practical knowledge to the community. Dr. Taro Umetsu chaired an in-depth discussion on the long-term effects of proactive treatment versus delayed treatment,
while Ms. Shoko Asakawa outlined essential health literacy practices that are indispensable in daily life. These presentations bridged the gap between clinical expertise and everyday understanding, ensuring that participants could gain a clearer grasp of how to protect their long-term musculoskeletal health through informed daily choices.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with orthopedic experts and interact through a Q&A session. This fostered an atmosphere of open dialogue, where participants could raise specific questions about their own health.
