Malaysian child star group “Four Golden Princess” member Carrie (Yu Kai Ci)’s husband, Dato’ Tai Hua Chang, was reported to have passed away on the 3rd, at the age of 81.
According to the obituary released by the family, Tai Hua Chang’s wake will be held at Nirvana Memorial Center Kuala Lumpur from February 4th to 7th, with the funeral scheduled for February 8th. Afterwards, the casket will be transported to Kuantan, Pahang for burial at the Kuala Tanma Lim Chinese Cemetery.
The 36-year-old Carrie married Tai Hua Chang, who was 42 years her senior, in 2019. Their wedding made headlines at the time due to the huge age gap. However, despite their age difference, the couple remained loving and harmonious after marriage, and together they have three children, living a happy family life.
In 2024, the couple celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary with a banquet of 30 tables, inviting friends and relatives. Among those present were Tai Hua Chang’s business associates, both families’ relatives and long-time friends. Many traveled from Germany, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore to join the celebration and witness this important milestone.
At that time, Tai Hua Chang appeared to be in good spirits and looked radiant alongside Carrie. He also shared stories of how he courted Carrie during the event, filling the atmosphere with happiness. Unexpectedly, just over a year later, the two are now separated by life and death, leaving many deeply saddened.
