Two Chinese Naval Ships to Conduct Distant Seas Training Mission at End of This Month

The Chinese Ministry of National Defense has announced that two naval vessels will carry out a distant seas training mission at the end of this month.
At a press conference on Thursday (September 25), Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, stated that at the end of September, the Chinese Navy ships Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan will undertake a distant seas training mission. During this time, they will organize ship open-day activities in Hong Kong and pay visits to Cambodia, Thailand, and other countries to conduct mutual learning and exchange activities with the navies of the host countries, further enhancing friendship and mutual trust, and deepening pragmatic cooperation.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison also announced on its official WeChat account that the vessels will berth at the Hong Kong Garrison’s Stonecutters Island military port.
Hong Kong residents may visit the Stonecutters Island barracks (Ji'ang Road, Kowloon, Stonecutters Island Naval Base) from October 1 to October 2. This naval open-day activity is free to book. Children aged 11 and under (inclusive) do not need to make a reservation but must be accompanied by a guardian for the visit.
