Before the final began, His Royal Highness warmly interacted with the participating players, match officials, representatives of the British Forces in Brunei, invited guests, and members of the public at the venue.
After a fierce contest, the British Forces in Brunei won 1-0 against the Royal Brunei Air Force. After the match, His Royal Highness was invited to present the "His Majesty the Sultan's Cup" to the champion team and commemorative awards to the runner-up team.
