Zainidi Attends ASEAN Lawyers Summit, Promotes Regional Legal Exchange and Cooperation Mechanisms

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) Brunei Bar Association President Zainidi recently traveled to Malaysia to attend the 2025 ASEAN Lawyers Leaders Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, joining legal representatives from ASEAN countries to jointly discuss a variety of topics to enhance cross-border cooperation.

This summit, convened from the 22nd to 23rd of this month, brought together 37 legal delegates from all ASEAN member states. The aim was to conduct in-depth exchanges regarding shared issues, emerging trends, and challenges faced by the region's legal community.

The summit not only served as an important platform for promoting friendship, deepening connections, and exchanging views, but also laid the foundation for building a more cohesive and cooperative ASEAN legal community.

Discussion on Multiple Cooperation Initiatives
During the summit, representatives from various countries actively explored potential initiatives involving cooperation in sports events, legal exchange programs, and knowledge sharing plans, hoping to raise the overall standard of the ASEAN legal profession through multidimensional cooperation.

One highlight of the summit was the formal signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Singapore Bar Association and the Philippine Bar Association, marking a further deepening of regional legal partnerships.
