An accident occurred at an oil pipeline in Brandenburg, northeastern Germany, on the 10th, resulting in a large oil spill.

The pipeline involved belongs to the PCK refinery at the PCK Industrial Park in Uckermark, Brandenburg. The incident occurred during construction, causing oil to gush out like a fountain, reaching heights of about 10 to 12 meters. Two people received medical treatment after being splashed with oil.

After the incident, local fire brigades and emergency personnel arrived on the scene with heavy equipment. The local fire department said that the accident currently does not pose a threat to residents' safety.

The environmental department stated that it is not yet possible to provide information on the cause of the accident or the specific losses involved.

The PCK refinery is located near the German-Polish border. It is owned by Rosneft Deutschland, a subsidiary of the Russian oil giant Rosneft, but is currently managed by the German government through a trusteeship arrangement.
