Ukrainian President Zelensky posted on social media on the 10th, saying that the Ukrainian team held a video meeting that day with US Treasury Secretary Bessent, President Trump's son-in-law Kushner, and BlackRock CEO Fink to discuss Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction and economic recovery.

Zelensky stated that this was the first meeting between the Ukrainian and US teams to formulate documents related to Ukraine's reconstruction and economic recovery. The two sides discussed key elements of recovery, cooperation mechanisms, and reconstruction vision. In addition, the two parties also discussed a 20-point cease-fire framework agreement and reached a consensus on subsequent contacts.

Later that day, in a video address, Zelensky said that Ukrainian Prime Minister Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister Kachka, Foreign Minister Sybiga, and Armed Forces Chief of the General Staff Hnatov were among those present at the video meeting with the US team.

If the root causes are not eliminated, the issue cannot be resolved smoothly

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said in a speech at the Federation Council (upper house of parliament) on the 10th that Russia and the United States have agreed to continue discussions on resolving the Ukraine crisis, and both sides recognize that if the root causes of the Ukraine crisis are not eliminated, the issue cannot be resolved smoothly.

He stated that during US presidential envoy Whitcoff's visit to Moscow on the 2nd, the Russian and US sides discussed related proposals put forward by the US for resolving the Ukraine crisis and reached a consensus, agreeing to continue advancing this work.

He said: "As President Putin has said, we have no intention to fight Europe, but we are ready and will respond to any hostile actions such as the deployment of European troops in Ukraine or the confiscation of Russian assets."
