During his research visit to Jiangsu, Chinese Premier Li Qiang stated that China would increase support and guarantees to create a favorable environment for foreign enterprises to deeply develop in China, welcoming companies from all over the world to invest and develop in China.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Li Qiang visited Jiangsu from the 16th to the 18th, emphasizing adherence to innovation-driven development, focusing on expanding effective demand, further fostering an environment supportive of entrepreneurship, and driving high-quality development through deepening reform and opening-up to achieve sustained positive economic performance.
Li Qiang visited Xuzhou and Nanjing, delving into enterprises, research institutes, engineering sites, and trade cooperation platforms to understand the economic operation situation.
He also visited the Nanjing North Station project site to learn about planning and design, as well as construction progress. He held discussions with project leaders and required the project to be advanced with high standards, actively exploring the application of new materials and technologies while planning supporting facilities and industrial layout.
Li Qiang emphasized that quality is paramount and that every detail should be managed with the goal of achieving long-term excellence to ensure project quality. He reiterated welcoming companies from all countries to invest and develop in China, adding that the nation would increase support and guarantees to help foreign enterprises thrive in the country.
Li Qiang also inquired about economic and trade cooperation between China and Central Asian countries at the China-Central Asia Center in Jiangsu. He pointed out the need to better leverage platforms such as the China-Europe Railway Express and cross-border e-commerce, enhancing economic and trade exchanges, broadening areas of cooperation, and promoting mutual benefits in the context of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
Li Qiang remarked that Jiangsu has a strong economic foundation and substantial strength, while also carrying higher development expectations. He expressed hope that the cadres and citizens of Jiangsu would remain devoted to development, focus their efforts, and work steadfastly to play a leading role as a major economic province, thereby contributing more to the national development framework.
