After evacuating citizens from Iran, the Chinese Embassy in Israel announced on the 19th that it would assist local Chinese citizens in batches to transfer and evacuate starting from the 20th.
The possibility of the situation worsening cannot be ruled out
The WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Israel released a notification on June 19th regarding the registration for evacuation of Chinese citizens in Israel.
The notice stated that currently, as the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues to escalate, the number of casualties is continuously increasing. The situation is highly uncertain, and the possibility of further deterioration cannot be ruled out. A large number of foreign citizens have already evacuated or are preparing to evacuate. Considering factors such as the current situation, route safety, border crossing convenience, and ticket availability, the Chinese Embassy in Israel will assist Chinese citizens willing to evacuate in batches starting from June 20th. The plan is to use buses to exit through the Beitun border crossing (located at the border between Israel and Egypt), and registration is now open. Those registering must hold a Chinese passport or travel document (including Hong Kong SAR passports, Macau SAR passports, or Taiwan Compatriot Permits. Those without a passport must hold a Chinese ID card).
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a regular press conference on the 18th, stating that under the organization and coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese embassies and consulates in Iran, and with active assistance and support from related neighboring countries, 791 Chinese citizens have been transferred to safe areas from Iran, and over 1,000 people are in the process of evacuation and relocation.
