(Thailand, 11th) — Multiple areas in three southern border provinces of Thailand were deliberately set on fire and explosive devices were detonated late at night on the 10th, causing extensive property damage. Preliminary reports indicate that a police officer in Narathiwat was injured on the right arm by shrapnel from the explosion.
The Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 of Thailand issued a statement via social media saying that the arson and explosion incidents occurred at 2 gas stations in Pattani, 4 gas stations in Yala, and 5 gas stations in Narathiwat.
The announcement stated that the military has requested all units in and around the jurisdiction to raise their security level to the highest in order to ensure public safety and to intensify the pursuit of the perpetrators.
