(Seria, June 12) The Royal Brunei Police Force, Belait District, recently conducted a joint enforcement operation at two different locations along Jalan Sungai Pandan.
The operation was led by Belait District Criminal Investigation Officer, Assistant Superintendent Mohamad Izzuddin Hanis, and involved a total of 59 enforcement personnel from the police force, Immigration and National Registration Department, Internal Security Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Customs Department, and the Religious Enforcement Unit.
During the operation, the Customs Department, under Section 146(1) of the Excise Order, 2006, uncovered 14 violations involving contraband items, and seized 69 packets of cigarettes of various brands and one bottle of liquor.
The authorities stated that similar joint operations will be carried out from time to time to investigate, prevent, and combat various illegal activities.
The public is also urged to always comply with the laws in force and avoid participating in any activities that may affect national security, public order, and societal peace.
