(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) In order to strengthen friendships among former breast cancer patients in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and to make full use of weekend leisure time, the Brunei Breast Cancer Support Group (BBCSG) held the second "Seuntai Kasih Bersamamu" (Bonds of Love) event yesterday morning in conjunction with the 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This event was held on the first floor of Rasa Ceria Cafe in Telanai, with a total of 40 breast cancer survivors and patients currently undergoing treatment participating, one of whom is as old as 86 years old.
Guests at the event included BBCSG Chairperson Hajah Amina, Vice-Chairperson Hajah Lindamaini, as well as BBCSG committee members.
In her welcome speech, BBCSG Chairperson Hajah Amina expressed her gratitude for this year’s event. Although the gathering was simple in form, the interaction and discussions among former breast cancer patients on how to face the various challenges during treatment and how to cope with and overcome these difficulties were still very inspiring.
At the same time, she also put forward a plan to publish a book titled "Voices of Breast Cancer Patients" in 2026, as part of BBCSG’s projects.
She added, "This book will record the experiences of breast cancer patients and become a precious memoir for people across the country to read."
During the event, guests also enjoyed delicious food and a lucky draw, which added much fun to the occasion.
The Brunei Breast Cancer Support Group (BBCSG) was officially established in 2004, aiming to raise public awareness of breast cancer issues in Negara Brunei Darussalam and to provide support for survivors and family members of patients who need spiritual and moral support.
