Xu Weilong: Pei Min Middle School Teacher Appreciation Banquet - Six Years Together Is a Precious Journey of Growth

(Miri, 30th) Xu Weilong, Chairman of Miri Pei Min Middle School Board, stated that the teacher appreciation banquet is not only a traditional school event, but also the moment when the bond between teachers and students is at its deepest, symbolizing the journey of learning and growth they have experienced together over the past six years.

Attending the “2025 Pei Min Middle School Teacher Appreciation Banquet” last night, Xu Weilong pointed out that the connection between teachers and students does not last just a year or two, but is a companionship spanning six years. From Junior 1 to Senior 3, teachers witness students grow from naivety to maturity, from being dependent to gradually becoming independent thinkers.

He said that the dedication and perseverance of teachers over the past six years is the school's most valuable asset. “Teachers not only impart knowledge, but more importantly teach students attitude and character. Whether it's lecturing in the classroom, providing guidance in the office, encouraging before exams or showing care after class, these are kindnesses students will only truly appreciate later in life.”

He expressed his gratitude to parents for their trust and support all along, allowing teachers to dedicate themselves to education without worries and to create a better learning environment for the children.

Xu Weilong encouraged the graduating students to see graduation as a new beginning in life. “Whether in the future you continue your studies, go abroad, work, or pursue your dreams, always keep your passion for learning alive. Times change rapidly, only through continuous improvement can you move forward steadily and further.”

He said that what students have gained in the six years is not only knowledge, but also friendship, memories, values, and resilience in the face of challenges.
