In his speech, Youth League leader Cai Xinche said that everyone had gathered together to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival, the Dragon Boat Festival. Seeing everyone participating enthusiastically, he felt genuinely happy and, on behalf of the Youth League, extended holiday greetings and a warm welcome to all friends present.
Cai Xinche stated that the Dragon Boat Festival is not only a day to commemorate Qu Yuan and savor rice dumplings, but also a moment to pass on love for home and nation and to promote the spirit of unity and striving together. He pointed out that for over two thousand years, Qu Yuan’s perseverance embodied in 'The road ahead will be long and our climb will be steep,' as well as the tacit mutual support in dragon boat races, have been deeply imprinted in the blood of every Chinese person.
