Miri Radio and Bintang MegaMall Co-organize 2026 Chinese New Year Gala

(Miri, 27th) Miri Radio (MIRIfm) will join hands with Bintang MegaMall Miri to hold the 2026 "Voices of Miri, Spring Fills Bintang" Chinese New Year Gala on January 29, 2026 (Thursday), at 7:30p.m.. Members of the public from all communities are cordially invited to attend, celebrating the arrival of the Lunar New Year together.
This year's Chinese New Year Gala is honored to invite YB Dato Sebastian Ting, Sarawak Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, as the guest of honor to officiate the opening ceremony.
The event program is rich and diverse. Highlights include a lion dance performance with "cai qing" by Miri Teochew Association (Guan Sheng Gong) Lion Dance Troupe, a crosstalk show by Pei Chung Yi Sheng She, singing by Xiao Dou Ya and C&L SINGING TRAINING CENTRE, a dance performance by Wu Xing Ji Art Space, and a grand sing-along, among other exciting programs.

Meanwhile, the organizers have specially invited artists from West Malaysia — Ani, MIKO, and VIKI — as guest performers to add star power and a lively atmosphere to the event.
In addition, many interactive games are arranged on site, allowing attendees to win generous Chinese New Year gifts while celebrating together. These include 5kg of premium fragrant rice sponsored by Soon Seng Lee (Miri) Trading, exquisite gift baskets sponsored by YEOS, and 500g packets of Fook Wong Golden God of Wealth pork jerky, offering festive joy and blessings. There will also be limited edition red packets distributed to all.
