Warm Year-End Dinner Welcomes the New Year: Kuong Wai Siu Women's Group Gathers in Joy

(Miri, 27th) The Kuong Wai Siu Women’s Section held its year-end dinner and committee birthday celebration on January 25, 2026 at Stirling, with a warm and lively atmosphere.
This event, themed “Gratitude for Companionship, Creating the Future Together,” invited council representatives, women’s group members, and guests to gather under a harmonious and cordial atmosphere to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the arrival of 2026 together.
The dinner was planned and spearheaded by organizing chairperson Yan Bao Xiang, with the strong support and active participation of the committee members. The program included a variety of activities, birthday celebrations, and interactive games, bringing laughter and a lively mood to the event.

In her speech, Yan Bao Xiang said the gathering symbolized "Sisters United, Warmth in the New Spring," representing the new year's spirit of caring for each other, working hand in hand, and spreading warmth and happiness to every member. She also expressed her gratitude to the organizing team for their hard work, which made the dinner a great success. In addition, the Miri Kuong Wai Siu Women’s Section’s cultural class specially presented a passionate and energetic Hawaiian dance performance that evening. Their colorful costumes and joyful dance moves echoed the event’s theme, adding a tropical flair and visual highlight to the dinner, which won enthusiastic applause from the audience and members, sending the atmosphere to a climax.

Women’s Section Head Chen Caihong stated in her speech that the gathering not only continued the deep bonds within the Women’s Section, but also provided an excellent platform for the new committee members to communicate and connect. She thanked the outgoing members for their years of selfless dedication, emphasizing that stepping down does not mean leaving, and everyone is encouraged to continue participating in Women’s Section activities in the future, bringing new vitality to the organization. She also hopes that the new committee will work together to face new challenges and bring the Women’s Section to new heights.
During the event, Chen Caihong specially presented the “Diligence Award” to members who consistently attended meetings and accompanied the Women’s Section’s growth, and also prepared souvenirs for the outgoing committee members to express appreciation for their contributions.

She also thanked the organizing chairperson and the entire organizing team for their thoughtful planning, well-prepared competitions, abundant prizes, and lo hei fruit, as well as the sisters for preparing gifts and red wine, adding to the joyful and warm ambiance of the dinner.
President Huang Yunxiang also gave a brief speech, praising the Women’s Section for its efforts and achievements in promoting club operations, caring for the community, and bonding among members throughout the year. He encouraged everyone to continue the spirit of unity and mutual support in the new year and to actively participate in various activities so that the Women’s Section may develop even further. He also expressed hope that such gatherings and exchange activities would not only strengthen the bonds among members but also extend into the community, bringing more joy and companionship to the elderly, fulfilling the Women’s Section’s mission of caring for society and serving the people.
