Famous South Korean actor Jo Jung-suk, after marrying singer Gummy, has two daughters and is known in the entertainment industry as a “doting girl dad.” Recently, he appeared on Hyeri’s web show, where he chatted about past collaborations and shared stories about interactions with his daughter. When discussing the possibility of his daughter entering a rebellious phase in the future, he couldn’t help but get teary-eyed on camera, causing everyone to burst out laughing.
During the program, Hyeri asked Jo Jung-suk how he would respond if, one day, his daughter became a teenager and rebelliously yelled at him, slammed the door, or even coldly replied with “What do you want? Stop asking me!” Unexpectedly, Jo Jung-suk’s expression froze just hearing this hypothetical question, and then his eyes became red, exclaiming, “I really feel like crying right now, I mean it, that really hit me!” He even said that just imagining that scene makes his heart ache.
Even so, Jo Jung-suk sweetly shared some of his daughter’s tender gestures in private. He revealed that sometimes he needs to discipline his daughter strictly or display a stern expression when he’s in a bad mood. Whenever he gets angry or furrows his brows in frustration, his 5-year-old daughter is never scared; instead, she’ll walk over and gently press her little finger on his brow, making a gesture as if to “smooth out” his frown, as if comforting him not to be angry.
