(Bandar Seri Begawan, 4th) Singapore's Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong led a delegation to visit Brunei yesterday.
Upon arrival, he received a warm welcome from Minister of Home Affairs Dato Awang Haji Ahmaddin.
Those present to greet him included Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence Pehin Halbi, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy Dato Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Erywan, Minister of Development Dato Juanda, and Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Shamhary.
The Singapore delegation accompanying Mr. Lawrence Wong included Minister for National Development Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower Koh Poh Koon, Minister of State for Communications and Information as well as Minister of State for Education Rahayu Mahzam, Singapore High Commissioner to Brunei Heng Aik Yeow, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and the Environment as well as for Culture, Community and Youth Ms. Wan Rizal, and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education and National Development Muhammad Faisal.
This visit was also to attend the 11th Brunei-Singapore Young Leaders’ Programme, held from the 3rd to 4th of this month.
