37th Anniversary of June Fourth: Taipei Memorial Rally Mourns Victims in the Rain

The June Fourth Incident marks its 37th anniversary. On the evening of the 4th, several civic groups held a memorial rally at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, where attendees arranged lanterns in the shape of '8964' and laid flowers in the mourning area as tributes.

The Hong Kong Democracy Academy Association and several other civic organizations held the 37th anniversary memorial event for the June Fourth Incident at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall on the evening of the 4th, with the theme 'Memory Knows No Borders, Resistance Has No Frontiers.'

The rally began at 6:40 p.m. in heavy rain, with participants donning raincoats and holding umbrellas. Around 8 p.m., the entire crowd observed 64 seconds of silence collectively to mourn the victims of the June Fourth Incident.
