(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) In an effort to beautify the home environment and enhance residents’ safety awareness, residents of Seria Lorong 3 Housing Scheme and the Village Neighbourhood Committee (MPK) recently joined forces to conduct a community cleaning campaign, clearing overgrown weeds in public areas, especially along the road leading to the mosque.
This event was led by acting Seria chief Mukin Seriaya Zailu, with the participation of Lorong 3 Housing Scheme village head Saitin. The event was met with enthusiastic response from local residents, who worked together to remove weeds and prune shrubs, collectively creating a clean and safe living environment.
The Village Neighbourhood Committee stated that the activity was not only a practical action to improve the village’s environmental hygiene, but also an important step in nurturing community spirit and strengthening neighborhood ties.
The committee also revealed that more similar community cleaning activities will be held regularly in the future, encouraging residents to actively participate in environmental management and to jointly build a clean and healthy living space.
