Leah Dou Misses Top Three in 'Singer 2026' Finale; Faye Wong's Support Steals the Spotlight

Pop diva Faye Wong’s daughter, Leah Dou, showed steady progress on 'Singer 2026', and even invited fellow celebrity offspring Nana Ou-Yang for a duet in the grand finale. Unfortunately, she ranked only fifth in the end, but with Faye Wong cheering her on from afar, Leah managed to lose the competition but win the spotlight.

Over the three-month competition, Leah Dou covered her father Dou Wei’s 'Don’t Break My Heart' as well as Faye Wong’s 'Promise'. For her solo performance in the final, she chose her own song 'Aerialist', with many noting that through her song choices throughout the season, she completed a 'musical bloodline'. Online, there were even images circulating of Faye Wong’s friends sharing TV shots of Leah’s finale performance, claiming Faye was supporting her daughter long-distance. Afterwards, Faye Wong reportedly flew to Yunnan to celebrate her 57th birthday, and Leah was spotted at the airport as well, seemingly to reunite with her mother for the celebration.

In a post-competition interview, Leah was asked about being accused of imitating Faye Wong’s vocal style, diction, and stage presence. She responded graciously: 'Those are things I can’t separate from. Without them, there wouldn’t be me.' She also joked that what she wanted most now was to eat and just 'lie flat'.
