The Thai Ministry of Interior announced on the 25th that starting from May 1st of this year, the traditional paper-based arrival and departure forms will be replaced by an online system.

Entrants must first complete the online electronic visa application. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) will replace the paper-based arrival card, and all travelers planning to visit Thailand must complete the online form 72 hours prior to their flight arrival to simplify the travel process to Thailand. The authorities will enforce this strictly.

Travelers must submit their online forms and submission within 72 hours (3 days) before arriving in Thailand.

Interior Minister Anutin has signed an order to revoke the Ministry of Interior's announcement issued on June 27, 2022. The previous announcement stated that foreign nationals entering under specific categories could be exempted from submitting the arrival form.

Minister's Secretary and Interior Ministry Spokesperson Draisuri explained that the ministry is updating relevant rules and regulations to align with the digital entry and exit system developed by the Immigration Bureau, namely the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), also known as the online TM 6 system, which is set to be officially launched on May 1st.

The online TM 6 system requires foreign nationals to register their personal information through an online method before traveling to Thailand.
