After the Gaza ceasefire talks "collapsed," U.S. President Trump stated on the 25th that Hamas is "bringing about its own destruction."
He said: "Hamas does not truly want to reach an agreement. I think they want their own destruction. This is very serious. I feel like they are courting death, and that's very bad. The time has come for this to be resolved."
He stated that the U.S. is "exploring other options to rescue hostages and end Hamas's reign of terror."
He pointed out that Hamas is not yet ready to hand over the remaining hostages in Gaza because "they know what will happen once you have the last hostage."
The U.S. Middle East envoy, Whitcoe, recently accused Hamas of being "selfish" and unwilling to reach a Gaza ceasefire agreement.
